What's New...

Players enjoying disc golf at Hidden Falls Preserve

New Disc Golf Course Now at Hidden Falls Preserve & Campground 🎯

We’re excited to share some fresh outdoor fun at Hidden Falls Preserve & Campground—beginning this season, visitors can now enjoy a small disc golf course right here among the eucalyptus groves, rolling hills, and peaceful creeks.

What’s New

  • The course is currently five baskets, laid out over about 25 acres of our preserve.

  • Players can bring their own discs, or rent from the campground for a small fee—so whether you’re seasoned or just curious, you can jump in.

  • The layout includes shots across gentle slopes and over creeks, offering both challenge and variety. Some baskets will test your precision, others your power.

Why It’s a Great Fit for Hidden Falls

If you’ve visited before, you know Hidden Falls isn’t just about camping—it’s about stepping into a quieter, more intentional pace. Here’s how the new course blends with what makes this place special:

  • Serenity: Wandering from basket to basket you’ll pass through stands of eucalyptus trees, which filter golden light and soften sound.

  • Beauty: The rolling terrain, seasonal creeks, birdsong, wildflowers, and vistas across sage scrub all combine to make each throw not just a game, but an experience.

  • A walk in nature: Whether you’re heading uphill, across a creek, or following a trail under trees, the transition between baskets is as much part of the joy as the throws themselves.

  • Peace & detachment: True to Hidden Falls’ spirit (“Off-Grid Oasis … Unspoiled - Secluded - Rejuvenating”) this course adds activity without cluttering the ambiance.

Practical Info

  • Equipment: Bring your own discs if you have them. If not, disc rentals will be available at the campground.

  • Course size & difficulty: Five baskets spread over gentle and scenic terrain. Slopes and creek crossings make for an engaging walk and varied shots.

  • Access: As always, camping is by reservation. Hidden Falls remains a tent-camping, off-grid property with no RV park style density.

  • Other campground features: Options for privacy, hilltop and valley views, shade under eucalyptus, quiet nights under open sky, all in a conservation-focused setting.

What’s Coming Next

We envision growing the course in future seasons:

  • Adding more baskets to expand play options and mix up difficulty.

  • More varied terrain — possibly incorporating steeper slopes, new creek crossings, or varied elevation.

  • Better signage, markers and maybe even scorecards/routing to make the experience smoother.

If you’re looking for a way to enjoy the outdoors, challenge yourself a bit, and soak in Hidden Falls’ quiet beauty, this new disc golf course might be your next favorite escape. We'd love to see you out there, discs in hand, smiling after a great throw.

Book your stay and play: Visit our reservations page to pick your campsite, and don’t forget to pack or plan for disc rental. We can’t wait to hear your feedback on the course as we continue to grow it.
