Photography Sessions at
Hidden Falls Preserve
Nestled in the heart of Southern California, Hidden Falls Campground on the Hidden Falls Preserve offers a stunning natural backdrop for photographers seeking a serene and picturesque venue for their shoots. With breathtaking hilltop views of the valley, a tranquil riparian corridor winding through the property, and towering eucalyptus trees providing ample shade, our preserve is the perfect setting for both amateur and commercial photoshoots. Whether you're capturing engagement photos, family portraits, or high-end fashion editorials, our pristine landscape provides a versatile and inspiring canvas for your creative vision.
Pricing Tiers for Photography Sessions
To accommodate a range of photography needs, we offer flexible pricing tiers based on the size and production level of your session:
-
Amateur/Small Session (1-5 people, non-commercial): $100/day – Ideal for hobbyists, small portrait sessions, or personal projects. Includes access to designated areas during regular hours (sunrise to sunset).
-
Standard Session (6-15 people, low-impact commercial): $300/day – Perfect for engagement shoots, small weddings, or modest commercial projects. Includes full access to the preserve, unoccupied camp sites and basic amenities (restrooms, parking).
-
Professional Production (16+ people or high-impact commercial): $1,000/day – Designed for large-scale commercial shoots, film productions, or events requiring extensive setup. This includes full access to all campsites and the preserve. Additional hours outside regular operating times are available for $200/hour
All sessions require a signed agreement and proof of liability insurance ($500,000 minimum coverage). A $50 refundable deposit is required for cancellations due to weather, and permits are issued upon booking to ensure exclusive use of designated areas.

Organizing Your Photoshoot
To book your session, contact our team at least one week in advance to secure your preferred date and discuss your vision. We recommend scheduling during early morning or late afternoon for optimal natural lighting, especially to capture the golden glow over the valley. Photographers must check in at the main entrance upon arrival and present their permit. For larger productions, we can coordinate parking and access to private areas to minimize disruptions. Please note that drones are permitted with prior approval, and all equipment must be non-invasive to preserve our natural environment. Notes on Pricing
Pricing was informed by regional benchmarks, such as the California Botanic Garden, which charges $500–$2,500/day based on group size (1–30+ people) with additional fees for after-hours access ($250/hour). Other Southern California venues, like Malibu Rocky Oaks ($2,000+) and Pasadena Princess Estate ($2,500+), cater to high-end shoots, while public spaces like Griffith Park or El Matador Beach often require permits ($100–$340). Hidden Falls’ pricing is competitive, balancing affordability for amateurs with professional rates that reflect the preserve’s unique natural beauty and exclusivity.
